Drop In, Check Out

The Library is open for in-library usage sessions, by appointment, for patrons to browse the shelves, use computers and wifi, and print and copy. Crisfield has hours from Monday through Saturday, and Princess Anne is open Monday through Wednesday. Please visit this page for further information.

Books to Go pickup is still available. Please visit the reservation form or call the library to request materials and schedule a pickup slot.

Somerset County Library Quaranzine: Call for Submissions

Join us in making a small online publication to document the unconventional time spent during this current pandemic! We want to showcase the artwork of the Somerset County community in a digital zine where you can express and share your work.

Submissions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Art: paintings, crafts, etc.
  • Writing: essays, poetry, etc. (500 words or fewer)
  • Comics
  • DIY Home Projects
  • Gardening
  • Mixed Media
  • Photography
  • Recipes

We are unable to accept audio or video formats.

Rules and Submission Guidelines

Submit your work using by emailing your document and/or images to lcrockett@somelibrary.org

Visual work:

  • Upload a jpg or png that as at least 72 dpi
  • File name format: Firstname_Lastname.format

Written work:

  • Upload a Word doc or PDF
  • Include your name on the document
  • File name format: Firstname_Lastname.format

Submissions will be reviewed by staff.

By submitting work you grant the Somerset County Library the right to publish that work.

All work is subject to Library standards of conduct.

Keep it family friendly!

People of all ages are welcome to submit works and while your work doesn't have to be intended for young audiences in particular, please keep it PG! Submitting work does not guarantee publication.


Due to the volume of submissions, we are unable to respond to each one. We are unable to provide feedback on submissions that are not accepted. If your work is selected for Quaranzine, you will be notified upon publication.
