Summer Reading 2026
Join us this summer at your local library for Summer Reading 2026: Unearth a Story! The summer program officially starts on June 1st with our Kickoff Party on Saturday, June 6th at 11 AM at either branch! Sign-ups will continue throughout the summer until July 18th. When you register, you'll receive a tote bag, a free T-shirt (while supplies last), a book, some fun goodies, and your reading log and activity card to help you track your reading and participation. Every week, both branches will host exciting performers ranging from fossil digs to magicians to live animals — there’s something for everyone! As you read and take part in activities, you’ll earn raffle tickets for a chance to win one of our grand prize baskets. The more you read and engage, the more chances you have to win. Come join the fun and unearth the fun of reading this summer!

Join us for a roaring good time with food, a photobooth, temporary tattoos, and crossbody tie dye! Sign up for the program at any time to get a free shirt and goodie bag, for all ages, while supplies last.

Fabulous Prizes
Our grand prizes this year include four different raffle baskets for each age group: Littles (ages 0–5), Kids (6–12), Teens (13–17), and Adults (18+). You can earn raffle tickets by reading, attending programs, and participating in Summer Reading performances. Use your Reading Log and Activity Card to track your progress throughout the summer. Adults and Teens will receive 1 ticket for every book read, while Littles and Kids will earn 1 ticket and a prize from the prize bin for every 5 books read. Just show your reading log to a staff member to get a fun dino stamp on their log and pick a prize!
For all age groups, each completed activity on the Activity Card earns 1 ticket. Complete all activities on your card to receive a bonus of 10 tickets! Everyone will receive one Activity Card for the summer. Once it's complete, return it to the front desk to claim your earned tickets — all cards must be turned in by July 25th.
